I am so Ms. “not popular!!” Finally I have decided to write something which is purely disconnected from external world. It’s not about sports, politics, present happenings or some other bla bla. I mean it is definitely not a crap. I admitted today that whatever you say or think or do nothing in this world can be controlled or changed. Nothing is right out there so i decided not to go out and just stay inside. I mean staying in my “self”. I decided not to spoil my peace of mind. I decided to ignore. And it’s cool inside. Feeling actually better. No botheration for who did what!! Just me in me with me. I don’t know how the post is gonna end up with, right now I am enjoying whatever i am doing. That is it.

Place: My bed. Time: 7 am.
(Bang bang bang!!!)
My “self”: OMG its 7 I have to wake up now.
Place: My bed again. Optimistic me!),

Being a stupid voter to your government, I have each and every right to raise my voice against all the dirty bull shits you have done until now. Sir, with due respect, I would like to mention some of your deeds which might or might not be done directly from your hands but as the chief minister of Karnataka, I will definitely address you. Precisely it’s all some complaints from a disparate angry citizen. We all know that, you learnt initial leadership skills, development of mass base and human resource management from the RSS. “BJP has certain principals. Ministers from RSS background are the only clean ones”. This was our opinion towards the party. But what you did sir? What you learnt in RSS? How to suck blood of common man? How to do corruption? How to do land mafia? How to play dirty politics? How to join hands of corrupt politicians? How to purchase the politicians? U always worked for the people, heard their problems, and did many protests against the corruption.

What happened now? You got the power and you forgot the principals and ideologies? When Kumaraswamy refused to resign from the post of the Chief Minister in 2007, you and your party members resigned, criticised the JD(S) leaders for not keeping their words. In 2008 assembly elections, you won by 45,000 votes lead against the very well known leader Bangarappa. 45,000 votes was not just a figure. It showed the support and high expectation of people. It showed that they are fed up and want a CM who can do some good things to the state. People of Karnataka support you and assured that they will always be with you. But what you did? Back stabbed the people. Looted their wealth. Shamelessly made lots and lots of properties all over the state. Sir I think if you were given a chance, you might have sold your mother like state to someone else for money. Not only you sir, each and every single politician in the present assembly would have done the same thing. It’s just the hang over of power!! Might is right!!!

The whole Karnataka has gone through such a shame and hesitation all because of your dirty politics. No one here will ever trust a politician or a party in future. We lost our faith in democracy. We are fed up of shameless horse trading! Daily morning we see some politician buying another politician for crores. We are witnessing the vulgarity of your party people. The political drama which took place in full public view during the trust vote made us feel ashamed of ourselves. We regretted for voting you sir. Personally I felt like hitting myself with boot. I am feeling guilty of pushing my state to dark by contributing my vote. We know everything by this time sir. How politicians betrayed its voters. How they looted state. How they sold principles. How they corrupted the state. How MLAs die for money and power. How they give ministry to rapist. Everything!! Every single thing!! What you did when some MLAs started raising their voice against the corruption? You offered them an exotic holiday to Goa. Fed them everything. Trapped them. I know sir; they were more worried about Reddys. If they can do this much of corruption, why cant we was their demand. But being a chief minister isn’t this a goon’s thing you did? Some MLA during the trust vote manhandled the commissioner of Bangalore.

My god!! How to explain the ruthless deed of your government sir? I wonder why always we are blessed with bunch of scoundrels. The whole government is in crisis now. Some people are going to be richer; there is no doubt in that but what about your principals? You made properties as if there was no tomorrow. As soon as you got the crown, you looted looted and looted. Even left the gowdas behind! The gowdas are graving for power and you for money!! It appears as if every one is out to grab as much as they can!! When you will stop this mockery sir? If you were an efficient CM, why the hell these MLA’s left the party? Were they not given enough money bags to keep their mouths shut? Why you stripped your decency, morality and commitment which this state was worth of? Every day a new scam appears in the news. Is it not your responsibility to take care of the behaviours of ministers? Someone is struck in sex scandals. Someone in bribery. Someone in land mafia. Even worse thing is that you were still shouting that we have confidence of trust vote!! When there is no trust left in people towards you, what you will do with the f*****g trust vote? People who are watching you are not that stupid sir. Tell us something we don’t know!!

The biggest myth of the country is the democracy itself. Is there no man who can burn the book of democracy? 65 yrs old democracy itself is outdate and so are our politicians. The biggest democracy in the world my foot!! It is quite unfortunate that people, media and political parties have only to talk about if a government can survive or not. No one will ever think of amending the baseless rules! I ask terrorists, why you people always target the innocents? Why don’t you implant a bomb in the assembly? Who don’t you blow them off!! If we have the right to nominate a person for the assembly, why don’t we have the same right to disqualify them? Can’t we for once stand up and say enough is enough? Why there isn’t any law in democracy which can clean the dirt? Which can show these politicians their level? Why don’t we have any law to punish them?

My sincere advice to you and all the politicians is that please don’t do any sort of public appearances right now. I will be the first person to throw sandals and slippers to you and your whole assembly. After all these things, if you have some sort of ethic left in yourself, accept the fact that you are corrupt and give all your properties and money to the state back. Stop being a puppet of Reddy brothers!! Dissolve the government. Curb the power lust of other politicians. Let another election be held and start a new and clean political chapter. Honestly speaking you don’t deserve any sort of forgiveness. But we the citizens have a huge heart. Stop this corruption and GET ON TO WORK!!

Thanking you (if you can leave us live our lives peacefully!!).

HOLI DAY TURNED INTO A REBEL!!

March 1st started very smoothly. The holi day. People playing holi, putting colors to their friends. For me, yesterday was an easy day, I dint literally played holi, but enjoyed the zeal outside. Friends were explaining their day. I was writing journal and all of a sudden my cell phone banged with a flash message. “Check out suvarna news channel right now”. And that was the most astonishing thing to witness in TV. My place was burning like hell. I had never seen shivamogga like that. People shouting and shouting. All of a sudden I couldn’t make out what was wrong.

Issue was about an article in Kannada prabha. “Parda hai parda”. It was a translated version actually. Bangladesh’s controversial writer taslema nasrin’s article translated and published in Kannada prabha which was the reason for the protest. Muslims of Shivamogga were protesting against the article in ameer Ahmed circle and its circumference. Around 1500 people were protesting against the article. They burnt the flag of Hindu samavesha during the protest which triggered the Hindu people over there. Then Hindus also started burning complexes. The mob then turned violent. They started burning auto rickshaws, busses, tyres, taxis, bikes etc. They burned many complexes in Nehru road. Some chauvinistic people took this opportunity only to destroy the things. They started throwing stones, petrol bombs. The situation was totally out of control. Then the police opened goli bar to control the mob. 2 people died all because of that stupid article. The same scenario was created in Hassan also. Today curfew (section 144) has been declared. And it will be lifted only after the burial of the dead bodies. Situation is now under control from morning.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 224px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S4zG2fLRNCI/AAAAAAAAAkY/xsojsiEvMII/s320/StopViolence2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443944688968086562" />

Taslima nasrin is one of the most controversial writers in Bangladesh. Her provoking almost anti-Islam articles are always condemned in Bangladesh. And one fine day in the year 1994 she was thrown out from Bangladesh. And India was the safest place for her. I don’t know why we always push ourselves into the well. What was the need to give her shelter in our country? As if we are not having any problems in our country. From that day we are facing a lot all because of her. I am not telling some XYZ have no right to speak or write. But this crap is not at all needed for us. We already have many more problems to face rather than a freak writer’s craps.

I was not able to find out the necessity for publishing the article in Kannada prabha. Let me brief out the main contents of the article:
• Why women should wear burqas? Only because she is a piece of attraction for men? Eventually it is the mistake of men who cannot control their feelings. Why women are suffering because of men?
• Koran has information about the burqa; it says women have to wear burqas to protect themselves from others.
• Women are ill treated in Muslim community, bitter truth which all have to accept.
• The prophet Mohammad’s stories (burqas history extracted from hadis):
1. Prophet Mohammad lavishly spent his first wife’s wealth like anything and was suffering from poverty. At that time he called his wives and told them to leave his house and lead their own life as they want. All his wives left him and started to lead their life by their own. But one fine day, prophet’s disciple umaan told him that their wives are being notified by other men. At that time the prophet ordered them to wear a cloth which would cover their whole body. (Her point is, if men instead of women are thrown out of their houses and have to lead their life by own, they too have to wear the burqa. Why it is only limited up to men?)
2. After Prophet Mohammad’s victory in khaidar war, he looted everything including women. A woman named Sophie was one among them. Prophet Mohammad declared that by tomorrow, if she wears the burqa he will marry her or else she will be his servant.
3. One of the Prophet Mohammad’s wives Ayesha was an extra ordinary beauty. Visitors of prophet were obviously attracted by her beauty. Prophet was frustrated from this and he might have ordered his wives to wear burqa
• In this world there is no existence of women. They have cornered women.
• Parda system is justifying the heinous acts of Muslims.
• Shabana azmi and others who merely know about Koran debates that there have been no such things indicated in Koran about parda system. I want one answer, if it would have been indicated in Koran about the parda system will you all people wear burqa? Answer is “bilkul no!!”
• Not a single woman should wear burqa; it is a disrespectful deed.
• All because of a man (yavano!!) who lived 1500 years ago, we have to compromise our lives.
• Covering her head with burqa is like covering her brain from thinking.
• Finally all Muslim women should take off their burqas and should burn them in public.

After all these messy things, now she is telling she had not written any article like that and her writings are misused. I mean hellooooo, tell us something we don’t know madam!! Let us presume you have not written this for now, what about the writings in past you wrote? She also said, prophet mohammad himself was against the burqa system. Then what is all these shit huh? Kannada prabha purely denied her statement because they have extracted this from a book written by her. And that’s all they will do from now on. The only results from a stupid article was violence, loss and a holiday. When will we change? When will our country change? God knows!

GIRLS, WAKE UP!!!

Ji•had: A Muslim holy war or spiritual struggle against the people who doesn’t acknowledge the god (is this the real meaning? I don’t know).

Countless “all Muslims are not terrorists” themed movies are realized, but no movie depicts the darker side of Muslim community concerned with love jihad for e.g. Young girls are being targeted for a new kind of terror attack called the love jihad or Romeo jihad. These love jihadists are none other than the Muslims. Many Muslim youngsters are trained to trap innocent girls feigning love for converting them to Islam. The love jihad involves heartless phenomenon luring vulnerable girls and young women to convert to Islam. They mesmerize them by their talks and high profile attitude. These love jihadists are provided with new cell phones, clothes, bikes etc which they cannot afford in reality to attract innocent girls. They get 2 weeks of time to trap a girl and 6 months to convert her to Islam. If the girl doesn’t show any kind of interest in these 2 weeks, they will find another prey!! For every conversion, jihadists are rewarded and this money is reported to come from foreign resources (Pak). Higher the educational and social status of the victim, more will be the reward paid. If this jihadist by chance marries the girl, he is given the permission to have maximum of 4 kids so that more and more Muslims are born :(

The same Shri Ram Sena, who are treated as villains nowadays were the first to find out this kind of organization. They announced about the launch of a nationwide "Save our daughters, save India" campaign to combat "Love Jihad". The only problem with this organization is that they take law in hands. No matter how good is the cause, they are always treated as villains. Their stupid statements and in disciplinary acts make others to consider them as riots. They are extreme extremists!!! I don’t know what RSS is doing these days? Time has come when we need them the most and they are “kabooshh”!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 301px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S4EQIaUcnZI/AAAAAAAAAkQ/Xcf0vnArkZg/s400/ljj1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440647561530350994" />

This jihad custom is not the new one. There are different types of jihads. The name has changed now that’s it. In 1990’s Sikh community young girls were similarly trapped by Muslims who were pretending to be Sikhs in England. This was more brutal compared to the present one. Hindu and Sikh girls were beaten up and terrorized by the Muslim men they were dating with, until they are converted. At least they were having proofs because girls were fed up and were desperate to get out of the trap. But this time it is a different scenario.

Love jihad in India is mainly conducted in southern parts. That too mainly in Kerala and coastal Karnataka. College campuses are the most appropriate places for them. The first case of love jihad was found on September 2009. Two girls, one Hindu and one Christian, indicated that they had been forced to convert by two Muslim youths. Girls were completely trapped in love. Instead of expected marriage, the girls were taken to a Muslim organization where they were subjected to extremist propaganda. On 9th December 2009, Justice J K Sankaran for the Kerala High court showed some serious concern on this issue. According to him around 3,000 to 4,000 incidences of similar kind have took place. In one such case pending in the Karnataka High Court, father says his daughter has been lured away but daughter says she simply fell in love. God, look at our innocence. No strong proof has been found yet, as girls need their boys back. Where are they? Common sense=0!!!

What will someone get by ruining the lives of others? I don’t know. In a country like India, women are our pride and insulting them is like insulting the nation. I know, victims are also equally responsible but what to do, innocence is in our blood. We get trapped so easily like anything. Our week and diverseness is the main problem here. We think only about our family, my mom and dad, my bother and sister and at most my relatives. My family is secure, that’s enough for me. Then what about the country? What if all the girls are trapped like this? It’s our responsibility to spread awareness among youngsters. Let us take a break from our stupid internals, labs, assignments, records etc and do some useful things to spread awareness amongst people (especially girls). But how? Please share :)

Check out Pratap Simha’s article on love jihad (Vijaya Karnataka Kannada newspaper’s leading writer):
http://pratapsimha.com/2009/10/20/lovejihad/

JAI JAVAN!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 328px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S15aqHg3_rI/AAAAAAAAAg0/9-14uk240wA/s400/the-proud-indian-flag-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430877880273338034" />

"The safety honor and welfare of your country
come first always and every time.
The honor welfare and comfort of the men
you command come next.
Your own ease comfort and safety
come last always and every time”

How one can give his whole life, rejecting all worldly pleasures, for the sake of country? Is he not the true man? A true warrior. Impossible is just a little longer for him. Living life in edge, difficulty is his daily routine. Knocking the doors of danger every day, Indian javans give their best in every day of their life. Indian Defense Force is an organization which works for the country and for the welfare of people. A life saving job. Almost as sacred as life giving job. Indian army is the largest of all armed forces in India. To maintain peace and security and to protect the nation from external threats is the primary duty of soldiers. With about 13,25,000 soldiers in active service and about 18,00,000 reserved troops, the Indian Army is the world's second largest army. Each and every male citizen of India have the right to join army without any distinction of caste, community, religion etc provided he is physically and mentally fit.

Army pilots pushing their helicopters beyond their performance, soldiers trying to survive a very low temperature of around -50 degrees, only a few hundred meters away from Pakistani gunpoint position, described as the world's coldest and highest battlefield, Siachen glacier is one of the oldest and unique battle field. 'Siachen' ironically means 'the place of wild roses’, but only blood sheds there now. The oxygen level here is about 10% of that available normally and some areas are cut off from the rest of the world for more than six months during winter.

On 1984, Pakistani troops attempted to acquire 76-km-long glacier. Indian army carried out operation code-named "Meghdoot" and established permanent posts at the Siachen Glacier. Since then, the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF) have mounted there. Pilots take up their helicopters called “cheetaks” (1960 design!!) to drop supplies to the soldiers, altitudes of 21,000 feet. But the actual capacity of these cheetaks to fly is about 15,000 feet only (making impossible things possible!!). They have to do this all within 20 to 30 seconds before Pakistanis open up the fire. Cheetak lands over a small artificial hill made with snow rope and parachutes not more than few seconds. Army engineers constructed a special 121km long pipeline connecting the Siachen base camp to some positions on the glacier to supply kerosene for the soldiers. A bucket of boiling water turns into ice within 15-20 minutes. Roughly about 500 soldiers are died due extreme weather conditions over past 16 years. Every day, about 10 soldiers are treated by doctors due to the collection of water in their lungs. The cost of a loaf of bread that would be less than a rupee in the Kashmir valley is estimated to cost about 10,000 rupee when it reaches siachin. Pakistani troops are not suffering less. Pakistan’s move at this time is to make sure India withdraws from Siachen’s strategic positions that it controls. India’s position is” no way” unless that becomes part of a comprehensive package of Kashmir settlement. In short they won’t enter into a settlement. All talks between Indian and Pakistani defense secretaries on resolving the Siachen issue ends up inconclusively. It is a war neither side wants to fight. Yet, it has lasted for two long decades.

Siachen war is not the only one, look at the kargil war. Thousands together lost their life. Their victories and sacrifices are talked by only common people. Even today the pensions, retirement schemes and post-retirement benefits are in knots. Endlessly they have to depend on our politicians. 78 javans are struck in Pakistan jails since the 1971 war. It is not at all a priority for our government to ensure their release. Lieutenant Saurabh Kalia of 4 Jat regiment laid down his life in the Kargil war at the age of 22. He was captured along with his party of five jawans and tortured by the Pakistan army for 22 days but none of them opened their mouth. They suffered unimaginable physical and mental torture. After 22 days of torture, the brave soldiers were ultimately shot dead. None of us even know their names. And this story also. We all remember even the very “gup shups” of celebrities rather. Father of Lt Kalia has been trying to collect enough signatures to submit a petition before the UN Human Rights Commission. Politicians must have helped them in this case. Again they don’t have time. I wonder why reason for all problems in India end up with dirty politics. All my posts ends up blaming them (like anything!!!). Still I won’t pity them. They deserve it, even more. Every Indian must know what are all the difficulties suffered by soldiers. A bullet-proof jacket weighs 30 kg plus. Whole day is spent as a stranger in his own land searching for traitors. And no one remembers them.

Situations in north eastern frontier are also the same. ULFA leaders attack with their main control from Bangladesh. Peace talks from our politicians make no difference. Terrorist roam in the streets freely. Our soldiers have to safeguard the people distinguishing the terrorists. All our borders are in danger and threat from one country or the other.

In spite of all the threats, dangers and problems, today the Republic Day is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country and especially in the capital, New Delhi. It is our national festival. The beginning of the occasion is always a solemn reminder of the sacrifice of the martyrs who died for the country in the freedom movement and wars for the defense of the country. Then, the President comes forward to award the medals of bravery to the people from the armed forces for their exceptional courage in the field and also the civilians, who have distinguished themselves. It must not be limited only up to medals is what i feel. Anyways,

WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY.

JAI HIND.

JAI JAVAN.

My favorite patriotic song:

kadam kadam badhaye jaa khushi ke geet gaye jaa
yeh jindagi hain kaaum ki tu kaaum pe lutaye jaa
kadam kadam badhaye jaa khushi ke geet gaye jaa
yeh jindagi hain kaaum ki tu kaum pe lutaye jaa

tu sher hind aage badh, bandhe se phir bhi tu na darr
udake dushmano ka sir, jo de watan badhaye ja
tu sher hind aage badh, bandhe se phir bhi tu na darr
udake dushmano ka sir, jo de watan badhaye ja
kadam kadam badhaye jaa khushi ke geet gaye jaa
yeh jindagi hain kaaum ki tu kaum pe lutaye jaa

chalo dilli pukarti hume disha sambhali
lakh ye bighadke lehraye ja lehraye ja
chalo dilli pukarti hume disha sambhali
lakh ye bighadke lehraye ja lehraye ja
kadam kadam badhaye jaa khushi ke geet gaye jaa
yeh jindagi hain kaaum ki tu kaum pe lutaye jaa
kadam kadam badhaye jaa khushi ke geet gaye jaa
yeh jindagi hain kaaum ki tu kaum pe lutaye jaa

CAN EVERY SLUM DOG BECOME MILLIONAIRE??

“Twenty five percent of Indians live on less than a dollar a day and seventy percent live on less than two dollars a day”. All meaningless news. The poverty in India is making media headlines all over the world. Don’t they know same amount of money has differing values in different places? What is so interesting in making news of a country’s shame?

But still, the forgoing is India’s shame despite of huge progress. Slums in India are like tourist spots for foreigners. India’s capital Delhi has 1.5 million out of fourteen million living in slums. Mumbai is worst with greater percentage living in slums. Other big urban centers have done no better. Many say poverty, slums and urban squat will not go away in next 20 to 25 years. And we are dreaming in heights. India, a developed nation in 2020!!! It’s all bull shit. For many people living in slums, escape is still just a dream.

How do slums grow actually? It is as simple as that, more population and more crowd, more slums. Big cities in India are facing the problem. People in big cities complain about the slums, garbage, filth, people living their. I would say it is their entire fault. They attract innocent people all over the country even though they cannot handle them. Rapid growth of mills, industries and shipping drew a large population into the cities. People living in villages are obviously attracted towards cities to earn more money with less work in less time. Huge disparity between urban and rural income levels is the main criteria for slum growth. To make their future secure, they leave their villages and settle in cities. Some people succeed but many will not. Unemployment strikes. Another reason for slum growth may be the development of cities. They acquired more and more land. Many lost their home. Where will they go? Many of the small villages with their own industries are slums now.

This kind of poverty is unacceptable. They deserve so much more. We have a billion population people. Goddd!! If we all are capable of doing something, we will be the biggest nation and no goddamn country can harm us. But we are burning brains. Many people are desperately ready to do something for nation but are not getting an opportunity. Many say they are the main problem of our country. I completely disagree. Yes they are the problem, but we pushed them into that hell and we have no right to say provided if we can help them.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 204px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1QfETVk-KI/AAAAAAAAAgo/SkjGlm9RXDg/s320/6a00d8341c018253ef00e54f19507b8834-500wi.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427997609659005090" />

We, students always argue about the quotas provided for SC, ST, OC, OBC and many more. But all these privileges are exploited by teenagers whose parents are capable of earning their own bread (not just bread!!) and are capable of providing education to their children. Many of youngsters in slums are backward class people. They have all rights to read and write. Aren’t they? But they are struggling with starvation. What is the use of bloody reservation then? To whom actually these reservations have to be given? Do our “so called leaders” have time to think rather than pulling legs? They are the real shame of our country. I agree many of the teens in slums have job to look after their family. But is that enough? That won’t help them to get out of the slums.

Whenever there are debates about slums all reporters, social activists, politicians shout rubbish, “We will discuss this with the high command” “opposition party has no work to do except blaming us” “Why don’t they clean it up?” “Politicians must help them financially” “why don’t they clean up the garbage and together build some decent shelter?” What the f***!!!, tell us something we don’t know!!! If at all they clean up the mess, where will they dump? Again in slums??!! The whole city’s garbage and sewage are dumped in slums, then how to get rid of them? It seems very easy but once you get into the slum and hear people over there, it is a huge problem which has no solution until and unless a leader (true leader!!) is born, a “change maker” uninfluenced from any external aid. Or they have to do it by themselves slowly step by step. 2nd one seems to have worked a little because 1st one is almost impossible. Each and everyone here are “born corrupts!”. A documentary telecasted in Discovery channel about Dharavi made me to write this article.

Mumbai is one such city. Around 6 percent of Maharashtra’s population lives in the slums i.e. in Mumbai. Dharavi in Mumbai is one of the very well known slums in India. Some 18,000 people are crowded in per single acre land. They have done an impossible thing possible. They have stopped asking help from our politicians (useless thing actually to ask them). They are developing themselves. It’s a small city within a city. It has its own informal economy of small businesses. Many goods are exported worldwide. They recycle plastic wastages to make buckets; pots etc. craftsmen show their talent in hand made clothes. One the country’s most popular comedians, who have acted in more than 300 bollywood movies, Johnny lever is from Dharavi. He was one in a million!!! But for others, getting rid of slum is just a dream. Mumbai always attract the people who seek a better life and many of them fail. And hence the slums grow bigger and bigger and poverty proportionally. Eradicating slums is not at all possible, but betterment is possible. Dharavi is the best example.

“Slum dog millionaire” was one such movie which got Oscars. A foreigner directed the movie (a biggest issue last year!!), which upheld the situations of slums dramatically, although that was the truth. Many felt ashamed of being Indian after watching the movie. Amitabh bachan was extremely ashamed and he did nothing. A nude India got Oscars also!!! Anil kapoor was in mars (he even left moon:P) and he was extremely happy and he also did nothing. So did others. Don’t know what all the measures are taken after watching the movie at least. But something special was there in that movie for me. It was the word “millionaire” which attracted. The only question which struck my mind after watching the movie was, can every slum dog become millionaire??!!!

HAITI MISFORTUNE!!

Helping the people in Haiti who are suffering, due to a massive earthquake is very difficult for a student like me even though I am willing to. It was the first independent nation in Latin America and the first black-led nation in the world. The only nation whose independence was gained as part of a successful slave rebellion. Haiti was under the control of France and was called Saint-Domingue before independence. After independence it was named Haiti. American troops attacked frequently on Haiti. During the times of 1922, they loaned 40 million dollars from US and were not able to pay back, in turn handed over the whole national treasury to Americans. From early times they were slaves and were always humiliated from someone or the other. They were suffering politically, socially, economically and naturally also. And the biggest disaster was yet to witness.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 156px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MIoIMRg9I/AAAAAAAAAfw/a4l1EKcD9jI/s320/ss-100116-haiti-06.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427691461398332370" />

Economically it is the poorest country in America with an average of 2$ or less per person per day. Poverty has forced at least 2,25,000 children in Haiti's cities into slavery. They are actually unpaid servants. It has consistently ranked among the most corrupt countries in the world. Even the annual budget is donated by other countries like United States, Canada, Venezuela and Cuba. Haiti now ranks 149th of 182 countries in the United Nations. The literacy rate is of 65.9%. Around 90% of primary schools are non public. The enrollment rate is about 67% but only 30% of them reach the 6th grade. The population of Haiti is about 9.8 million and half of them are under 20. From past decade, it has witnessed a little development but what is the use, a quake in their lives snatched everything from them.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MI1kqTYvI/AAAAAAAAAf4/vEJrIutt9BQ/s320/ss-100116-haiti-11.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427691692378776306" />

Haiti has witnessed many natural calamities and disasters in history also. Frequent soil erosions, deforestation, flooding etc. In 2004, 2 times the place was strike by flooding and mudslides which killed over 6000 people. Even before the earthquake, nearly half the causes of deaths have been attributed to HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, meningitis and diarrheal diseases, including cholera and typhoid, 90% of Haiti’s children suffer from waterborne diseases and intestinal parasites. Cases of tuberculosis are more than ten times as high as those in other American countries. Around 30,000 people in Haiti suffer each year from malaria.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MJDP9YzzI/AAAAAAAAAgA/03rCcldkVds/s320/ss-100116-haiti-15.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427691927339847474" />

On January 12, 2010, 4:53 pm, Haiti was struck by a magnitude 7 earthquake which completely demolished Haiti. This was the most powerful earthquake in over 200 years. The quake eventually took place just off the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince. Building collapsed due to poor construction. Even the presidential place was badly damaged. Floors collapsed on floors. Over 1 lakh people are estimated dead. In 1946 a magnitude 8 quake shook Haiti but quake this time affected more because it stroke on more densely populated area.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MJRpfg6QI/AAAAAAAAAgI/mAIBNFWmJ00/s320/ss-100116-haiti-16.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427692174712039682" />

Within minutes everything was over. Even they didn’t have time to realize what has happened and everything around them messed up. People lost their lives. People who survived lost their loved ones. It was really bad to watch those mourning moments on television. People were crying like anything. Many struck in debris. Shouting for help. But the cameras moved on. Small children wandering here and there, searching for their parents. Half dead people outside the hospitals looking forward for their turn. Hospitals were more like huts. Doctors were pleading help to provide enough drugs and accommodate people. Huge crowd running behind helicopters, which were throwing food bags from air. People trying to pull a woman struck in a house with a baby. God, why you do this?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 210px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MJcCBYt4I/AAAAAAAAAgQ/evtos9rNGe0/s320/ss-100116-haiti-17.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427692353095251842" />

The sad thing was, some culprits over there were looting shops on the streets of Port-au-Prince. People willing to contribute for a charitable cause are being miss lead. Please people beware. Ignore those kinds of mails and do not click on the links within the messages. Do not give your personal or financial information to anyone who solicits contributions. The FBI says anyone receipting an e-mail that appears to be a scam should forward it to this Web site: www.ic3.gov

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S1MKBBDB_yI/AAAAAAAAAgg/eouX88x2hsQ/s320/ss-100116-haiti-23.ss_full.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427692988488875810" />

People are suffering a lot there and no contribution should go vain. You can help by making a secure online donation. Do not ever trust our politicians here. They suck!!! Our contribution will never reach Haiti because it didn’t even reached north Karnataka last time and expecting it to reach kilo miles away is like fool’s paradise. Pray for people who lost their lives. Hope their souls reside in peace. For many 'young players', the thought of playing against Roger in a grand slam final itself makes them nervous. If this is the case then its a simple mind game rather than heavy shot making tennis. 'Never allow ur opponent to settle down'.
now to say abt Petes, i love him too but it took him around 12 years to win 14 n not to forget the Muskateer's Cup is missing in his collection.
it took only around 7 years for Roger to break petes record and to win a carrer slam n he is still doin very well.
Petes was a serve n volleyer but Roger can play fom behind the baseline, can serve n volley, has got variety of fabulous shots, great footwork.. it was Roger who stopped pete from winning his 5th consecutive wimbeldon title!
Roger not playing well in the last few grand slams? he suffered from mononucleosis but still made it to semis of australian open 2008. he suffered from back injury. he made it to other three grand slam finals n won one. he came back from two sets down in the final of wimbeldon 2008 forcing the fifth set against 'Rafa' n the set went on to 9-7.
year 2009... roger played extremely good at australian open.. that match against roddick.. just awesome. rafa was on the verge of losing in semis against verdasco. about the final.. well roger is not God to play every point in the match perfectly.. he certainly has had n will have some good days n some bad ones like any other human.

French open.. 'the king of clay', rafa cudn't even make it to the quarters n lost to some world no. 23 (at that time).Shows winning a grand slam 5th consecutive time isn't an easy job and that to on two different surfaces like Roger.
wimbeldon..getting injured, considering all other factors, depends also on the style in which they play. sad rafa cudn't play coz of injury. if rafa isn't playing aren't there any other good men on tour? the british media made murray almost a winner even before the tournament started.. but Roger won it beating Haas, Del potro, Roddick in nail biting thrillers...
US open final..just another bad day.
As Roger himself has said, he has had the most amazing summer.
He tops the list of highest tennis prize money winners. He is the current world no. 1
Abt retirement.. he is still fit, playing superbly n come on, is 28 the age at which one who is on top of his game, fit wud retire?? he is jus 8 years elder than us!

To say abt other legends like Rod laver,Bjorn Borg, Jimmy cornors, Mc Enroe, Stephen Edberg, Ivan Lendl etc i haven't had the opportunity to watch them play.. so we will have to rely on the statistics and wat others say.
Surely there will be some player who wud break Roger's records too in the years to come.. as they say records are meant to be broken.who knows.. it might be rafa.

To compare Roger n Rafa, we will have to wait till the end of their career.
As of now we have to respect Roger, the man who is doing things in the way never done before.
I wud say am just glad to have born in the era in which a man named Roger Federer is playing!
One more thing.. :P
if Rafa is the best clay courter we have seen in recent times, then definitely Roger is the second best clay courter... he hasn't lost to any one except Nadal at Roland Garros in the last 5 years

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!!

<img style="display:block; Varanasi, popularly know as Kashi or “the city of light” or Banaras is in Uttar Pradesh of India. It is believed that the very first ray of light felled in this city after the creation of world. The place where Lord Shiva dwells is one of the holiest cities for Hindus. Varanasi attracts millions and millions of pilgrims every year. The river that flows here is India’s longest river, the world famous, “Ganga”. The numerous ghats along the Ganga are the most attractive ghats which change colors with shifting rays of sunlight. Other than all these things, the high intensity of religious feelings had made this place more holy and famous.

The river Ganga flows towards the north and washes the banks of kashi for the one and only time throughout her course. The ultimate goal of one Hindu’s life is to visit kashi. Washing their sins in river Ganga. Praying not to give them another life after death (moksha siddhi). It is believed that a fast (upvasa) for three days in Kashi equals thousands of years of asceticism (tapas). The death in kashi is believed to be the ultimate liberation. Therefore in old days, people believed that the one who goes for a kashi yaatra will never return.

Mainly three reasons have made kashi the holiest, one is that it is the city of light, secondly, ganga flows here and the third one is Shiva himself whispers the taraka mantra in the ears of the man who is dying (taraka mantras are nothing but the mantras which help a paapi to cross the river of samsaara and reach the moksha).

These things have made people to dwell in kashi until they die. About 60,000 people visit the Varanasi ghats to take a holy dip of Ganga maiyya. Crazy!! More people, meaning to say more pollution and more head ache. People having no one in their life come here to die. They don’t have left or right. Ultimate aim is to die in Kashi. They don’t even think of their cremation or burial after their death.

The holy Ganga is no more holy. It has become the worst place one should never have to go. Around 30 large sewage pipes continuously discharge the sewage into the “holy Ganga” 24X7. The worst thing is that, it is discharged in the same place where millions of people take their holy dip. Dead bodies can be found anywhere and everywhere in Kashi. Bodies are wrapped in colorful cloths and carried to the river on bamboo stretchers and then bodies are given one final dip in holy Ganga and then buried. On the river bank, traditional funerals are performed. Children under twelve, sadhus, pregnant women are not cremated as they are treated as pure. They are wrapped, tied to some big stone and thrown directly to the river.

According to official sources, 3,150 human bodies and 6,270 animal bodies were found floating in the river during 2007-2008. Some 32,000 bodies were cremated at the river's banks generating 300 tones of ash and 200 tones of half burnt flesh, which all went into the Ganga. Sewage as much as 275 million liters a day (MLD) are sent to the three plants that together have the capacity to treat only 98 MLD. And the plants are not equipped to handle industrial discharge. The remaining 177 million liters, sorry to say, go into the Ganga without treated.

Ganges river water is fully polluted and it is really a disastrous thing that no more dissolved oxygen exists in the water. Samples from the river show that the water has 1.5 million faecal coliform bacteria per 100mL of water. Water to be safe for bathing must have this number less than 500!! I don’t know how they drink this. If you have to get a holy dip in Ganga, you definitely have to share the water with buffalos!! One can imagine how holy the water is. Not a dip, even by touching the water, you may get septic. Ashes and smokes fill the air produced by the burning of bodies. In diwali season, more than 1 lakh butter candles are burnt in the banks.

We should not forget that Varanasi is also one of the main centers for studying classical Indian music, yoga, and meditation. Tourists and pilgrims come from all over the world to study under famous gurus, yogis, and instructors. Old Varanasi depicts the culture and heritage of our country. Even though weird and unusual rituals are performed in Kashi, the tourists count has not fallen until now, which is a bad thing according to me. There is something in Kashi which is attracting pilgrims. We may say we are living in 21st century; technology has made us to change. But the reality is that we are still in 18th or 19th century. We don’t know where we are from and where we will go after death, then why we are waste our time thinking of paapa, punya, janana, marana, moksha, mukti, tantra, mantra and all that??

BONSAI..OPEN UR EYES!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 317px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AU1iSRO7I/AAAAAAAAAhY/XoEBBnUNXNE/s320/miniature-bonsai-tree.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435867660205243314" />

It’s raining everywhere. A small plant standing in a corner may be peeping outside the window. Afraid of lights, heights. Mourning and grief. Not a single heart to feel for him. Some people passing here and there uttering to their child,”Hey!! Look at that my baby, that small tiny tree in the pot. It’s called “bonsai”. What do you feel baby? Do you want a similar one in your room? U can spend your time taking care of it rather than fighting with your brother.”
Another man entered the conversation,” Even I have one in my home, but I don’t have time to take care of it. Actually, I hardly get time to water it. Still it is there in one corner as it is a trend u know, to keep a bonsai in home. But this one is not that good. It has to be still trimmed, it is a little disfigured. Looking quite odd, but still it’s good. As it’s a symbol of pride.”

Child asks, “Mom, if we can have a tree in our home itself, then why we need huge trees outside? Are we not wasting lot of space mom?”
Suddenly mom replied,”Arhh!! Let us have dinner baby, we shall discuss that later.”
In today’s society, the things which greatly matters is a nice car, an exotic holiday every 3, 4 month, a brand new home theatre system, designer clothes etc. ok fine, its their will and wish. Their money. But why trees. Just as an ornament, why we are killing the lives of trees. I agree, it’s an achievement by man to grow a tree in a pot but what’s the use? Why the people are killing the very independence of plants to live their life in their own way? Why they want everything to reach them to their living room?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AVEDQpCaI/AAAAAAAAAhg/3LZm9tprJPc/s320/bonsai-tree.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435867909574953378" />

Some people are there who keep bonsais just for craze. They love their new pets!! They take care of them more than themselves. Cutting off the new sprout, pruning, shaping etc.Bonsai trees, if properly cared for, can live for hundreds of years. How beautiful it is to hand over a living legacy from generation to generation!!
Personally speaking, I don’t like bonsai culture. I think they are destroying our humanitarian values, ethics and morals. What if someone locks you in a room and give you all facilities and comforts? Think about it!!!

I WILL NEVER FORGET UR MOON WALK MIKO!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 270px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AWX0MUIrI/AAAAAAAAAh4/HnF516aHkdU/s320/michael_jackson-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435869348639285938" />

How can one forget a creased crown hat, jeweled gloves, long hairs, inexorable force, eye popping dance moves, high musical versatility and unbreakable popularity? Yes, it’s true. No one can forget the legendary singer, “the king of pop”, Michael Jackson. This man broke all the limits both in his race and music. One of the greatest entertainers ever was an American recording artist. Miko was born on August 29, 1958. He trapped the whole world for almost four decades. His heart touching songs were something extraordinary. His unique talent early by the age of 5 made an immense impact on many of the people all over the world. He made multiple Guinness World Records including the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time". He made his debut in 1968 as a member of “The Jackson 5”. Beginning a solo career in 1971, his 1982 album “Thriller” remains the best-selling album of all time, with four others “Off the wall” (1979), “Bad (1987)”, “Dangerous(1991)”, and “HIStory (1995)”among the best selling.

Jackson’s personal life was more privatized and created a lot of controversies. His changing appearance, i.e.; his skin color which became paler and paler after many plastic surgeries. His bisexual, more feministic facial features made more controversies. He was also accused in 1993 for child sexual abuse. I even heard that he used to get operated to change the body structure to fit his dance moves. Crazy!!Though no charges were brought, he was completely shattered by a series of allegations. He started taking more and more painkillers and his health became very week. He was again tried and acquitted of different child molestation allegations, which provoked a further decline in his health. It was quite obvious because no one can remain happy and healthy after having 93 allegations against them!!! All these allegations tarnished his reputation and career or else we would have got even more music from him.

His career’s last concerts, about 50 concerts starting from July 13th from London were well arranged. He even passed the physical examination, I don’t know how? But on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles, after suffering a cardiac arrest (still more controversies!! No one knows how exactly he died. Even his death certificate.), he left his family, friends and uncountable number of fans. He was 50 when he died. Though some people say he was a little psycho, his talent was something unique. Personally I love Michael Jackson for his style, talent and achievement in life. And I sometimes feel very bad as we can never clone miko, because miko was miko, though he wanted his own clone!!!

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same
Now I believe in miracles
And a miracle
Has happened tonight <br Saturday sun
I had to tell them
I ain't second to none

And I told about equality
An it's true
Either you're wrong
Or you're right

But, if
You're thinkin'
About my baby
It don't matter if you're
Black or white

I am tired of this devil
I am tired of this stuff
I am tired of this business
Sew when the
Going gets rough
I ain't scared of
Your brother
I ain't scared of no sheets
I ain't scared of nobody
Girl when the
Goin' gets mean

(L.T.B)
Protection <br
Of the tale
See, it's not about races
Just places
Faces
Where your blood
Comes from
Is where your space is
FEDex...THE BEST PLAYER!!!!???

“He has proven himself”, “what a fantastic play”, ”mind blowing”, “absolutely perfect”,” the best tennis player ever”, ”most exciting finale” etc etc etc..These were the words used by each and every Federer fan and even some of the X tennis players during the finals of the French open 2K9. Roger Federer beat Robin Soderling by 3 straight sets, 6-1, 7-6, 6-4.

I don’t know what was there in that stupid match. Robin Soderling who was the man to beat world’s number 1 Rafael Nadal was playing like a kid. His performance up to the finals was astonishing but what happened to him in the finale? No one knows. Is it that exciting to see a match in which one person is doing a hell lot of unforced errors and another one just running here and there across the net? No big rally, no tough points, except some mind blowing aces by the Swiss.

As everyone knows, Rolland Garros was almost an impossible thing for Federer until Rafa was in finals. Was that will be the same case if Rafa was in the finals this year? Definitely not. He would never have left federer to win soo easily.
Even god knows that Federer has lost his pace and consistency, then why the hell his fans are not accepting the thing. Obviously to encourage their hero is to discourage Rafa. But the reasons they give are highly pathetic. “He does not play a disciplined tennis”. What actually is the meaning for this comment? Yes I agree Rafa,does everything in the field, I mean everything!! But to value a tennis player is by his tennis right. According to me considering present tennis players, a player who is young, energetic, dynamic and strong contender is Rafael Nadal.

French open is considered as one of the toughest tournaments of all. Until now, I think French open never ended like this, except last year, when Nadal beat Federer by 6-1, 6-3, 6-0.

Federer has lost 3 grand slams against Rafa. Federer also lost the No.1 ranking to rafa last August. This is not magic right. There is something in rafa which is making him to come up. Debates about the greatest player ever usually include Rod Laver, Pete Sampras, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg, Andre Agassi, Jim courier, Roger Federer. After french open this year, Federer is considered as the best player in tennis as he has equalized 14 grand slam record made by pete Sampras. But when pete Sampras was playing tennis in 90s, his co players were soo powerful and strong that in each and every tournament, new names were coming out. Pete Sampras was one of the most fantastic player (personally my favourite)I have ever seen. In his 19th Grand Slam final, he got his 14thslam and matched Ivan Lendl's record. One interesting thing is that, Sampras has never won the French open title in his tennis career!! One can guess how tough it was to win a slam. Many champions like Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, have not even won one single French open title. Each and every player has his own unique and special characteristics in those days. Players nowadays are not at all consistent. Some players will be injured for 11 months and play one slam for an year.
French open finals review,
2000-Gustavo Kuerten vs Magnus Norman 6-2, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(6)
2001- Gustavo Kuerten vs Àlex Corretja 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-2, 6-0
2002-Juan Carlos Ferrero vs Albert Costa 6-1, 6-0, 4-6, 6-3
2003- Juan Carlos Ferrero vs Martin Verkerk 6-1, 6-3, 6-2
2004- GuillermoCoria vs Gaston Gaudio 0-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 8-6
2005-Rafael Nadal vs Mariano Puerta 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-1, 7-5
2006-Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, 7-6(4)
2007-Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4
2008-Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer 6-1, 6-3, 6-0
2009-Roger Federer vs Robin Söderling 6-1, 7-6(1), 6-4

Anyways, Federer’s dream came true. Happy for that. But still he has lost his charm in the field. That’s for sure. Wimbledon is getting started from 22nd of June. However we have exams from 26th!! Still for at least 4 days, we can watch day and night. All the best for all players. Hope the best man win..:)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 206px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AbxRw6n0I/AAAAAAAAAi4/Abd66LDUxt8/s320/nadal-underwater.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435875283632299842" />

Nadal practicing in his swimming pool!!!

ONE HEART TOUCHING PIC:(

CLICK ON IT IF YOU CAN'T READ THE TEXT.

POWER CRISIS IN INDIA

Before entering into the topic, let us first try to understand what actually the word ‘crisis’ means. Crisis means a situation that has reached an extremely difficult or dangerous point; a time of great disagreement, uncertainty or suffering, possibility of suddenly getting either a lot better or a lot worse. Whereas the power is concerned, it can never become the possibility of getting a lot!!!

Power factor of a country is the most fundamental and essentially an economic issue for the rapid growth and development. Unless we take this matter seriously, even god can do nothing. It was really astonishing and disastrous thing I found from internet that there were zero results found about power crisis in world famous Wikipedia!!!

The thing to think is that, are we really in crisis of power?? Is there a world power crisis? Is the demand for energy is higher than the available supply? Sadly, the answer is yes, yes and yes!!! Power sources are running off. People not only in India but in whole world, take power resources for granted. Let me tell you one thing, it is estimated that we have already used 50% of our available non-renewable energy source i.e.; fuel oil, and at the current rate of consumption of our fuel oil supplies, the oil will run out in 30-35 years. This is only if current rate of consumption is not exceeded. According to the Planning Commission of India, 600 million people, roughly half the population is off the electric grid. Many villages, even cities are not getting uninterrupted power supply. India faced 9.6 % energy deficit in 2006-2007 and worst is expected this year.

The government is making all possible efforts. Some tentative progress has been made in the area of T and D (Transmission and Distribution) losses. The progressive Electricity Bill was passed in 2003 by Mr. And Brutus which allows open access of power i.e.; buying and selling of power within states. Nuclear Power deal with USA and Indo-Pak-Iran gas pipeline are some revolutionary measures taken. The UPA government has planned to electrify every household in India by 2009. This project was named Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana with an outlay of Rupees 16,000 crore. Still 1, 20,000 villages remain to be electrified, but are these precautionary measures are fair enough to avoid the huge crisis. It’s really foolishness to expect everything from government. We, the people must also take equal responsibility to fight.

In 1947, India had only about 4,000 MW of total installed capacity. But today, the total installed capacity is 1, 44,564 MW shorting about 50,000 MW of energy to sustain the present growth. Individual contributions from different plants are given bellow,
1. Thermal - 92, 216. 54 MW (64.6%)
2. Hydro - 36, 033. 76 MW (24.7%)
3. Nuclear - 4, 1200 MW (2.9%)
4. Renewable - 12, 194. 57 MW (7.7%)
It is observed that thermal power plants are major contributors. But it is also a major contributor in environmental pollution i.e.; through burning of coal. Indiahas 2, 53, 301 million tones of coal reservoir. It will be completely depleted by 2070. India has to import 1.6 billion tones of coal per annum by 2050 only! Thermal power stations are big threat to environment and the atmosphere. Not only electric power, oil is also perishing. India is the 3ed largest oil importer in the world (2.44 million barrels per day).

Karnataka Government announced 20 percent cut in power supply for Bangalore and 70-80 percent for rural areas. It means unscheduled power cut of 4-6 hours in Bangalore and 16-18 hours in rural areas!!! How can one survive without electricity for 16-18 hours everyday?? It is really a very shameful thing that we are contributing a big zero to save power. We all are addicted and are used to. People in villages are ultimately the victims of power crisis. I think this is the major thing. Since we are not suffering, we can never come across the difficulty.

Think about our next generation. What would be the status with no power in future? Is this not their equal right to use the power? Is this not the unfair thing we are doing with our brothers and sisters? Let them also live. To live is not our only right. Let us sense the things and be more practical in life. Power is life and let us live it in an economical way!!!

IPL FEVER..!!!FEAR..!!!

Hi friends...

As everyone knows, its IPL mania everywhere…Indian Premier League Twenty-20 cricket tournament is going on in South Africa. Why not India?? Due to lok sabha elections or may be our players refused to play in India because they want a jolly trip to abroad..!!! I don’t know..!! I just know one single thing that people in India are becoming crazy about this tournament. My college friends talk only and only about IPL every day. They argue, they fight for their players and for their teams. They even bet for money. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. Its all part of life you know!!! They behave as if they own the players. Actually, we can also purchase the players. If one is having millions and millions of money in his or her pocket, definitely one can own a team. Just go and bid. All is yours. Purchasing a person... strange no...But it’s no more an issue to debate, they are sold..!! I never knew that a person’s value can be weighed by money!!! Money is such a powerful thing you know. It can do anything!!

As we all know that we have a hell lot of fantastic players in India who made world records. They are icons of our country. People recognize our country all because of some very good players. We must agree that they are not they without their hard work. They have worked days and nights to achieve the status and respect. In spite of this, they are valued not by their talent or hard work, but by notes. Someone is sold for 1 million, someone else for another. Sometimes it seems to be funny, but it is really a big issue to think.

If we ask any of the players in the field of cricket, that what kind of cricket would you like to play? The answer is test cricket in case of many of the players. They love it because true cricket can be played in test matches without any hurry burry, tension or pressure. Calmly and peacefully one can play good cricket. But lots of people, including me, don’t like test matches as they are very much boring. Youngsters want more exciting, energetic spicy and masala kind of cricket. In test matches, they play, play and play... sometimes at the last, disastrously, the match will be declared draw..!!!Poor cricketers!!!

After test cricket, it was ODI (One Day International) era. This was some good stuff. Just they have to play for one day and night. I.e.; for a limited 50 overs. Personally I love ODIs because you don’t have to stick on to your seats till the end of the match .You can waste your time in some other work, other than cricket..!!! Some people even watch ODIs ball by ball. I don’t know what makes them so crazy. Many players have made lots and lots of world records both in tests and ODIs.

And then comes 20-20. It’s a premature baby of cricket. Before you are able to recognize the teams and players, the match will be over. You don’t have to give much stress or strain to your brain because everything in T-20 is super fast. Batsmen don’t have to stick in the crease. Within the short time period of 20 overs, they have to exhibit their talent. I think 4 or 5 players are enough for 20 overs!! These matches are extremely glamorous, sensational, and adventurous. They make you to stand up on your seat. Cheer girls cheer the players for every six or four run or an out. I don’t know whether the players are pacified by their dance or not, but the spectators definitely do..!! Poor cheer girls!!!

Many of the famous industrialists, businessmen, film actors have owned their teams by bidding the cricketers. Some of them are Vijay Maliya, Shah Rukh khan, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mukesh Ambani Etc. As I said, costs of different players are different. Some cricketers may get disappointed by this!!!

There are mainly 8 teams with a total of 78 players. The teams are,
1. Bangalore Royal Challengers.
2. Chennai Super kings.
3. Delhi Daredevils.
4. Deccan Chargers.
5. Rajasthan Royals.
6. Kolkata knight Riders.
7. Kings X1 Punjab.
8. Mumbai Indians.

The list of franchise owners respectively are (all amounts in USD):
1. Vijay Mallya's UB group (Bangalore, 111.6 million).
2. Indian Cements (Chennai, 91 million).
3. GMR group (Delhi 84 million).
4. Deccan Chronicle (Hyderabad, 107 million).
5. A consortium led by Emerging Media (Jaipur, 67 million).
6. Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chilies Entertainment (Kolkata, 75.09 million).
7. Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Dabur's Mohit Burman (Mohali, 76 million).
8. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited (Mumbai, 111.9 million).

The total amount spent on only bidding is 723.59 million USD. One can’t believe how much money they are wasting for IPL. Reports say the IPL is targeted to generate revenues around 2 billion USD. The contracted revenues for season 2 is said to be in excess of Rs 10,000 crore, an increase of about Rs 1,800 crore over the inaugural year, according to sources. Millions and millions of people helped Sony max to get a maximum TRP rating of 8.1 and move to the no.1 spot from the 4 position. The camera used for the sport is imported; the accessories they use are all imported. A10-fold hike in security budget has been done from season 1 to 2. As our players are insecure!!! The team owners are profited by Ticket prices, sponsorships, selling their merchandise and by advertising themselves.

What’s the point in wasting this huge money just for the sake of name and fame?? Is this the way to play a game..?? Where are the moral and ethical values?? Are we not that much aware of our status?? Is this not the duty of every citizen of India to be more responsible? If this is the status of our people, our country can never become a developed nation in 2020, not even in 20020.

Forget about the unaware people. What about the players and all IPL related persons who are grabbing bundles and bundles of money from this tournament?? Are they blind or deaf or dumb? I don’t think they are uneducated. They are not. I think they are over educated!! Where is sportsmanship in the game?

I definitely agree that T-20 matches are very much exciting, entertaining and extremely enjoyable. Many world records are witnessed in both IPL season 1 and 2 by our players. It’s really a good thing that Indian players are part it. One can never question about it. But is this the time to enjoy?? Is this not the time to innovate our ideas in new and different ways?? I don’t say that cricket must be banned. Can’t these matches become more economical?? Can’t the team owners spend their money for internal and eternal development of India?? It’s true that “money makes many things”, but it’s also true that “money makes man mad”. One will be considered as a fool if he or she thinks that industrialists, businessmen, film actors bid, all because to encourage the sport. It’s all fake. It’s only for publicity. They want money. If they really want to help common man, they would have given some amount of money in turn. They would have played some charity matches. Anyways, I think India is no way benefitted from IPL!!!!!!

Share your thoughts :)

SOME OF THE GOOD FRIENDSHIP QUOTES.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 298px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AYZBEzw0I/AAAAAAAAAiI/sq2Oo64lBYQ/s320/fri23-1.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435871568300589890" />
"True friendship is sitting together in silence and feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had."

"Remember that every good friend was once a stranger"

"A part of you has grown in me, and so you see, it's we forever .Never apart, maybe in distance, but never in heart."

"Friendship improves happiness, and abates misery, by doubling our joy, and dividing our grief."

"In loneliness, in sickness, in confusion-the mere knowledge of friendship makes it possible to endure, even if the friend is powerless to help. Aam Aadmi Ke Badhte Kadam Har Kadam Par Bharat Buland….!!! Political ideology of democratic socialism..!!!! And bla bla bla…these are all the slogans we are listening these times around us because of elections!!!Votes, votes and votes. Nothing else other than votes...no food, no shelter, no proper drinking water, no roads, no railways, no education, no development, no technology, no unity, no life...but votes. Uneducated, innocent, poor, hungry people from miles away, with hopes and dreams in their eyes, crossing all hurdles... reach their destiny to listen to a political leader who has come for begging votes. I don’t know whether people understand those long speech or not but they all are very much interested in watching their models shouting something. It’s no wonder if some leader is canvassing in the name of someone else, because people can hardly see them.

Are the politicians whom we vote are eligible enough to lead our country?? The answer is obviously no. Because all politicians of our country are fake, disloyal, greedy and inhumane. They play with people. They exploit the helplessness of the people. They have no concern about the welfare of the country. They need power to rule but totally unaware of what they are doing. No plans to change the country .Not at all interested in developing the country. It’s all the money which counts at last.

We think that our country’s slow development is all because of uneducated people. I think we, the educated people are more responsible than them. Many of the youngsters like me are unaware of even the contestants competing for the elections. We don’t have leaders to lead us. Many of the people who have crossed 18yrs will not even have a voter’s id. They think why we should vote for these cheap people. They blame politicians but will not think what they can do to our country. Their contribution to the society is a big zero. Today we can hardly find young, energetic and dynamic personalities, who can lead our country. Not a single true party can be found which is socialistic. All are running behind money.

Many incidences can be witnessed by us these days. These are all the ugly things these politicians are doing. They spend money in tons to win an election and gain it back in multiples.

July 22nd 2008 was the most shameful day for India when a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member shocked the House by walking in with a bag full of currency notes, which he claimed was given by a Samajwadi Party leader in return for his support in the trust vote for the nuclear deal issue. Think about it, if a situation comes like this what would a speaker do? Our deputy speaker Charanjit Atwal just adjourned the House. After this incident, the news hungry people conducted lots and lots of debates, conversations, expert (!!!???) opinions etc… but what now? This issue is not at all resolved. No one have concern about this issue.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 236px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AZYD6GmFI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/BooHRup9VU8/s320/02nlook.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435872651392751698" />

On November 26th 2008,”Aamchi Mumbai” was attached by 8 terrorists. The biggest financial city was completely shattered. Over 173 people died, at least 308 injured. Ajmal Amir Kasab,the only attacker who was captured alive, disclosed that the attackers were members of Lashkar-e-taiba, the Pakistan based militant organization. Almost 4 months have passed. No positive developments are seen until now about this issue.

The latest news is that, after purchasing a bomb proof tunnel worth rupees 2 crores for kasab, now the Maharashtra government has reportedly imported a van costing a whopping Rs 6 crore which has a scanner that will detect any explosive in the periphery of 200 meters!!!! This is our country..!!! This is our democracy..!! This is what we are..!!! A terrorist, who destroyed our lives, is given VIP treatment. Is this not a shame on us?? Our country is suffering from lots of problems and conflicts. We are failing to solve them. Then why the hell this terrorist is getting royal treatment??

Now coming to our so called leaders. Let us see how simple and ordinary life they are leading.
1.Sonia Gandhi (jai mata) has declared her asset to be worth of 9.5million (Dh774,000).The only consolation for Sonia may be that her assets have increased by Rs2.5 million since she successfully contested the Rae Bareli seat in 2004 polls.

2.Sonia’s younger sister in-law maneka Gandhi (representing opposition party BJP) is richer than Sonia. She had declared herself to be worth Rs 67 million (Dh5.4 million) during the 2004 general elections.

3.Sonia’s ladla beta is not behind!!! Rahul Gandhi had declared his wealth to the tune of approximately Rs6.9 million during 2004 polls. The family’s farmhouse located at Sultanpur village on Delhi's Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road is in Rahul’s name. It was declared as agricultural land worth about Rs 1 million, but farmhouses are being sold in excess of Rs100 million.

4.L.K. Advani and his wife kamala together own movable and immovable properties worth Rs 3.55 crore

Although the properties of these political leaders have become open secret, Rahul Gandhi claims he neither owns a house nor even a car.
But the truth is he has,
1.A Public Provident Fund (PPF) deposit of Rs 10.29 lakhs.
2.Jewellary worth not more than Rs 1.5 lakhs,
3.Agricultural land measuring about 6 acres in Haryana's Faridabad has been shown to be worth about Rs. 28 lakhs.
4.Constructed property of two shops in Metropolitan Mall at Saket in New Delhi. While one of these shops measuring 514 sq feet was valued at Rs 55 lakhs, the other measuring about 996 sq feet was valued at Rs 1.08 crores.

We, the people are fed up of these things. But what to do??
We are the citizens of India. We have to live here. The thing is that we can make it a better place to live. A small individual contribution counts a lot. In that sense let us do something to our country. If we can do something, it is to vote. I know, not a single person is trust worth, but let us choose a one who is better than the others. Let us not waste our precious vote.

“TO VOTE” IS OUR RIGHT.
15th LOK SABHA GENERAL ELECTIONS ARE ON APRIL 22, 23, 30th AND MAY 7, 13th OF 2009.
LET US VOTE AND HOPE FOR THE BEST TO HAPPEN!!!
MAY OUR ACTION REFLECT THE WORLD!!!
MAY OUR POLITICIANS’S ACTION REFLECT OUR SOCIETY!!!

COMMENTS ARE AWAITED:)

AUTHENTICITY

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 216px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AaylWKu9I/AAAAAAAAAiw/K3mi04hHlm4/s320/succes1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435874206557060050" />

We often do not say or do something because we are worried about how it’ll be perceived? For most of us, me included, this happens many a times. .

We live in a culture that is starving for perfectness or Genuineness. We want our leaders, our family members, our friends, and everyone else we interact with to tell us the truth and to be themselves. Most important thing is that we want to have the personal freedom and confidence to say, do, and be who we really are, without worrying so much about how we appear to others and what they might think or say about us.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 285px; height: 283px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AaQZWfkQI/AAAAAAAAAiY/hGZcQ2zDFME/s320/arrow_succes.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435873619221647618" />

Sadly, however, even though we may say we want to live in a way that is true to our deepest beliefs, and desires; most of us don’t .It is not that easy also. We’ve been taught by our parents, teachers, friends, politicians (!!!), the media, and others, that it’s more important to be liked than it is to be who we truly are. In addition, many of us assume that who we are is not good enough and therefore we’re constantly trying to change ourselves, or to act like others who we think are better than us.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 175px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AaY4276TI/AAAAAAAAAig/64esRkPhkcI/s320/bigstockphoto_Competing_Running_For_Succes_295681.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435873765118175538" />

However, as the famous author and poet Oscar Wilde so brilliantly stated, “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.”
What it really means to be authentic.

It is about enjoying a new sense of freedom to be who we really are (ourselves), natural and without a mask in our relationships, our work, and our life. It takes courage, commitment, and depth to look within ourselves .I think it is the most difficult thing to tell the whole truth even when we don’t want to(!!), to be vulnerable(capability of healing the wounds), Admit, own, and share our true thoughts, feelings, desires, insecurities, passions, embarrassment, dreams, and more.

However, being open and real about all of these things (and more) is what it means to be authentic in life.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 250px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-wcR040Gvzo/S3AakiwShxI/AAAAAAAAAio/kC7R_PAB0rs/s320/Key_To_Succes.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435873965343147794" />

Utilize the power of authenticity in your life as a way to enhance your relationships, increase your fulfillment, and empower yourself(to give moral or physical power to yourself), here are 5 keys:

1) Know Yourself – Make a commitment to your own personal growth. Discover more of who you are. And, seek out the honest feedback and guidance of others.

2) Transform Your Fear – There’s nothing wrong with having fear (kyunki dar ke aage jeet hai).It’s the resistance and denial (to refuse) of fear that is the real problem. When you express your fear, you have the ability to move through and transform it in a positive way. Taking action in the face of fear is courageous and empowering.

3) Express yourself – Have the courage to speak your truth boldly. Deal with conflicts directly. Express your emotions fully. Be real about what you think and how you feel. Give access to real freedom and power.

4) Be Bold – Live, speak, and act with courage, passion, and truth – even if it’s difficult or scary. Go for what you want in your work and in your life. And get back up when you fall down, which you will.

5) Celebrate Who You Are – Appreciate and honor who you are, what you do, and the gifts and talents that you have. Celebrating yourself is not about being arrogant. It’s an awareness of your own power and it’s the key to self confidence, fulfillment, and authenticity.Being your authentic self is not for the faint of heart, but once you’re willing to truly engage and do the work to become more real - your life, your work, and your relationships will be more exciting, meaningful, and fulfilling!
